Xterra West 2007
5/21/07Championship
The Cassidy’s Massage Clinic Sports Massage Team was out at the Xterra Off Road Championship on May 21st and 22nd in Temecula California. Athletes participated in a number of different races. There were two choices for the triathlon distance on Sunday The XTERRA Sport race is a half-distance race run on the same course and day as the championship race. It consists of a 750 meter swim, 15 kilometer mountain bike and 5 kilometer trail run. The Xterra West Championship race consists of a 0.93-mile lake swim, a 24-mile mountain bike, and a 6.2-mile trail run. The CMC sports massage team was present at the expo and was providing post event massage at the finish line. The founder of Cassidy’s Massage Clinic, Chris Cassidy, participated in the Xterra Off Road Championship and said, “This race is very challenging and the participants definitely earn the right to get a massage afterwards”. “Out team really likes coming out to the Vail Lake Resort in Temecula for this race. We have had excellent weather each year we attend this event”, said Cassidy.
Cassidy’s Massage Clinic would like to congratulate all the participants of this race. A special Congrats goes to some of CMC’s clients, Lance Polloreno, and our Xteam participants Stephan Lynch, and Ki Song.
The Xterra Wetsuit Spring Sprint

The Cassidy’s Massage Clinic Sports Massage Team was out at the X-Terra Wetsuit Spring Sprint giving sports massage to all the participants who finished the triathlon on Sunday May 6, 2007.
All V.I.P. participants who finished received a free 5 minute massage. Some of the participants planned ahead and purchased their post race massage on the Cassidy’s Massage Clinic website. Participants could choose from 10 minutes to a half hour post event sports massage at the beautiful Mission Bay park.
“This is the start of the triathlon season and it is always a great race”, said Chris Cassidy. “The weather for this race was totally epic and as usual Koz and his team made sure that the race was flawless”, Cassidy continued.
Congratulations to Team CMC, who placed 2rd in the rely. Two of our very own massage therapists, Surrena Lovell and J.T. Estrella and a client and friend of Surrena, Sean Percell.
Surrena a.k.a. “Sunni” was the team leader and she did the 500 meter swim in 7 min 10 sec, Sean Percell rode for a 23 min 35 sec and J.T Estrella ran the 3.1 miles in 19 minutes and 19 seconds. The most impressive part is that they both came back to give massage! Go Team CMC!

The La Jolla Half Marathon

The Cassidy’s Massage Clinic Sports Massage Team was out at the La Jolla Half Marathon giving sports massage to all the participants who finished the 5K and Half Marathon on Sunday April 22nd 2007.
All participants who finished received a free 5 minute massage. Some of the participants planned ahead and purchased extended time for the massage on Cassidy’s Masage Clinic website. Participants could choose from 10 minutes to a half hour post event sports massage at the beautiful La Jolla Cove park.
“This event is one of my favorite events because 100% of the proceeds goes to support the Kiwanis Club of La Jolla www.ljkiwanis.org which helps so many wonderful charities”, says Chris Cassidy, President of Cassidy’s Massage Clinic. “It is also one of the most beautiful places in San Diego and because of the hills during the half marathon the majority of participants were exited to receive their massage”, added Cassidy.
In closing Cassidy stated, “We are looking forward to supporting the local races for many years to come, but I have a special place in my heart for those races that help people in need”.

The entire team at Cassidy's Massage Clinic has been working hard over the last entire year to improve our online presence. Over the last year, we've:

CMC Makes a Friend at CAF Triathlon

CMC attended the CAF Triathlon this past weekend, 11/5/06 and had a great response - even by Robin Williams. CMC wasn't voted BEST SPORTS MASSAGE by Competitor Magazine for nothing! Thousands came out to the event to show their support. CMC volunteered to give Pre and Post race massages, which many athletes thoroughly enjoyed. The CMC staff even got to meet and snap a picture with Robin Williams.

We understand that in today’s busy society, you may decide by lunch time that you’d like that comforting massage after work. Or, maybe you did a long bike ride this morning, and would love to get some of that lactic acid worked out of your muscles before your long training run on Saturday.
